Hedgehog Home
Last year we were lucky enough to have a little family of Hedgehogs move into our garden.
We provided food and water for them and cleared their path to where they had moved in.
We are keeping our fingers crossed that they will stay this year as well, so we have been preparing the garden. No slug pellets, gaps in the fence so they can move around at night and plenty of hidey holes for them to go to.
Our local garden centre sells hedgehog food and mealworms ( hedgehogs favourites) but they also enjoy cat biscuits and meaty pet food. They also need a constant supply of water .
If you spot a hedgehog in your garden during the day time- please contact British Hedgehog Preservation Society for advice as it may need help.
